Amad Academy wants everyone to be able to use its website, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom or other assistive technology. This statement covers the public website and will be extended when the student learning platform opens.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. The list below shows what we have checked.
What we have checked
- Keyboard: every page can be used with a keyboard alone, the focus marker is always visible, and a "Skip to main content" link is the first stop on each page.
- Automated checks: we ran the axe accessibility checker on every public page at phone, tablet and desktop widths, and it found no failures.
- Colour contrast: the contrast of every text and background colour pair we use is measured against the WCAG AA minimum.
- Zoom and small screens: pages fit a screen 320 pixels wide without sideways scrolling, and stay usable when the text size is increased to 150%.
- Structure: pages use headings, lists, labelled form fields and page regions, so assistive technology can move through them.
- Motion: animations are switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.
The contact form bot check
The contact form uses a bot check from an outside provider, which we do not control. If you cannot complete it, email us or message us on WhatsApp instead.
